Fishy stuff

Like I mentioned in an earlier post, there are times that I update often, and times that I don't update as often. I guess this proves that point, it's been a month since I last posted anything... :P

Been busy (but who hasn't? :) trying to balance labwork, reports, teaching (started facilitating tutorials and lab demonstrating this year), OCF, and other personal commitments. Karen lent me an anime (a Japanese cartoon series), but it's been sitting on my desk for 2 months, and I still haven't found the time to watch it... Need to sharpen those time management skills (so that I can watch that anime series before Karen decides to take it back... :)

So to provide some updates, here's a look into one of the fishy experiments I'm carrying out.

Growing Zebrafish for feeding trials. 16 tanks with 5 fish in each tank = 80 fish = 2 - 3 solid hours of tank-cleaning every 3 days (including weekends), in between my other on-going experiments...

Feeding them with different antioxidants for 2 months, then testing the shelf-life of their flesh. They're enjoying being fed and looked after in the meantime, ignorance is bliss...

Guess what's for dinner tonight? :) Muahaha...

So, I've got a new set of skills that I can put into my resume/ CV : Can feed fish and clean fish tanks. Great, now I can set up my own aquarium... :) Haha.

Okie, will update again soon, need to prepare for tomorrow's meeting with my supervisor.

Hee... Heylo!

Okay, so I don't "grow" them, I "rear" them... The same way one rears turkeys for thanksgiving dinners... :)
