Time Management

At last, the long weekend (Queen's birthday) finally arrived! So, decided to get some work done over the weekend.

In one of the time management seminars we attended, they suggested dividing the things we need to do into 4 categories :
1) Important and Urgent (ie 1st priority),
2) Urgent but not Important,
3) Important but not Urgent, and
4) Not Urgent and Not Important (last priority)

Therefore, took the stuff I had to read and do, divided it into the appropriate stacks, and ...

Hmm... looks like I'll be needing more than one long weekend ... :)

More gems

Had a pretty hectic and rough week (even had an experiment literally explode in my face... which was rather amusing on hindsight, but not when I was wiping up the mess ... :)

However, in spite of all that happened the past weeks, I was heartened by all the loving words, encouragement, and support from friends and family.

Indeed, how important and blessed it is when we have people around us who will support, reaffirm (as well as correct us), and spur us on as we go through life together (and as Eli says, 'row through the mud together' :)

How appropriate, then, that this week's bible study focussed on encouraging one another with words.

'Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.'
- 1 Thessalonians 5 : 16 - 18

'An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.'
- Proverbs 12 : 25

So blessed ... Thank you, every one of you :)

Last week was also the final week of practicals and tutorials for this semester. One of the students wrote at the end of his practical report :

'Thanks Grace'

Awww... so sweet... *smile* Another gem to add to my collection of teaching anecdotes :)

So, I guess I wasn't such a terrible demonstrator huh ... Haha :)

Let us also strive to do our best, and rest secure in knowing that God will do the rest. And maybe someday, we will be able to reach even greater heights than before.
